First of all, I want to thank you for checking out my forum whether you've decided to join us or not.
So, who am I?
- My name is Lauren, and I'm a twenty-five year old business student. I live in the beautiful state of Tennessee. Though not originally from here, I met my husband here and this has definitely become home. I work in retail, but have dreams of opening my own business one day, and I am doing what I can now to start working towards that goal. I'm in my second semester of Business Management through Penn Foster. I've been married for two years to my amazing husband, "K" who works in restaurant management. We have two dogs, seven chickens, and a rabbit. I also have a horse that stays at my parents house and I hope to bring him to our property soon.
What's my "why"?
- So, as I said above, I want to own my own business. It's been a goal of mine as long as I can remember to work for myself. We also have a goal to raise a family, which I've also desired as long as I can remember. When K and I decided to get married, I took a long break from school. We were trying to get pregnant soon after and time got away from me. Recently we lost our first child, still-born, and I needed something else to focus on. I decided it was a good time to get back to pursuing my degree. We still want to have more children, and I want to homeschool when we do. Working for myself will give me the freedom to pursue non-career-focused goals as well.
